I think they should sleep most of the time… my 2 sons were only awake around 2 hours out of 24…

The baby should sleep pretty much all day.

  4. PRECIANA says:

IT DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH THEY ARE EATING. USUALLY WHEN THEY EAT MORE, THEY WILL SLEEP MORE. DO NOT LET THEM SLEEP MORE THAN SEVEN HOURS AT A TIME. IF SLEEPING MORE THAN THAT, WAKE THE BABY TO FEED.

19 to 20 hours a day. If they generally sleep 2 to 4 hours at a time. They should not sleep more than six hours at one time. Not when they are just a month old.

As long as the baby is full and has a dry diaper,BE HAPPY THAT YOUR BABY SLEEPS. Seriously your baby is still a new born, so babies that young tend to only wake for their feeding and changing. Enjoy the time now. But around 6-8 p.m and you are expected to retire at 10, then this is when you should keep your baby up. When it is close to bed time, wash your baby with a warm damp rag (NOT WET DUE TO THE UMBILICAL CORD DO NOT WASH TOO CLOSE TO THE STOMACH, IT WILL GET AFFECTED) The warm wash up and warm bottle will keep your baby sleep for a good portion of the night.–I know I have kids of my own.
